From Durango, he works with Sotol and Lamparillo in an ensamble — a rare and experimental combination that pushes the boundaries of what Mexican agave spirits can be. Using a copper still with a wood condenser, his method is as innovative as his choice of plants. Sotol isn’t agave. Lamparillo is uncommon. The ensamble has never been done this way before.
